I have been drawing all my life and practicing the art of tattooing for 8 yrs now. Aside from tattooing I like painting, sketching and chalk art. My art work has been shown to the public at the California Mid State Fair and in the Lawler Exhibition Building at Sharlot Hall Museum, for their “Dia De Los Muertos” celebration. I have also participated in the 1st, 2nd and 3rd Prescott “Chalk It Up” event and won the Prescott e-news best chalk art contest for 2010.
I have had the honor of being mentored by Jay Diaz of Lake Elsinore, CA for about 3 yrs. My artwork can also be found on Facebook under “Tattoosby Summer Henry“…. Feel free to look me up and add me. Im a perfectionist, very dedicated to the arts and passionate about making people happy through their skin art experience. I look forward meeting you in person here at Avatar Tat2.
Summer has had her artwork on display at Prescott’s Sharlot Hall Museum in 2009 for their annual Dia De Los Muertos Art Exhibition and Memorial Altar Display.
In Summer’s first month (2011) as an “employee” at Avatar Tat2, she created/submitted a unique font style to Superior Tattoo Supply in PHX and was chosen as one of 9 finalists to have their lettering published in their mini lettering flash book series “Tattoo Lettering Book Four”. These books are available online for $9.95 at superiortattoo.com
In 2013, Summer was nominated and made TOP 5 FINALIST in “…Prescott’s Finest Arts Award Show…” Donald Fezziwig in 5ENSES MAGAZINE…
The prestigious 3rd Annual Buckey Awards did not have Summer’s name in their winners envelope but she says, “the honor of sitting among some of the most PASSIONATE and TALENTED artists, activists, organizations and contributors in the county was amazing in itself”.
